A Letter Home

Dear Daddy,

I am sorry that I haven’t written sooner but I’ve been so busy having fun!  My new mommy and my new sister Jenny love me very much and I love them too!  Mommy calls me her Spunky Monkey because I can jump up anywhere and walk on my back legs, which makes her smile and laugh a lot. My new mommy pets me so much I’m afraid she’ll wear all my hair off!  Everyday after Jenny and I eat our breakfast and dinner (sometimes in between) we play for a long time.  Sometimes we get so rowdy running around and wrestling that mommy tells us to calm down so we don’t disturb the neighbors! Mommy also went out and bought a whole bunch of new toys. It makes mommy happy because Jenny has never played with another dog like she plays with me, but I think that’s because I’m her brother. We haven’t had a fight either.  Mommy is also happy because she feeds Jenny the same good food that I eat and

Jenny seems to have more energy.  So I have made mommy and Jenny very happy.

Every time mommy goes anywhere other than work or church we go too.  She does take us to the Bible Study she teaches and everybody loves us.  She has taken us to work a couple times because she works with people who are mentally or physically challenged and they love us a lot.  They ask mommy to take pictures of us when they pet us or hold us.  I have made a lot of friends at the apartments too.  When people meet us mommy always asked them how old they think I am and they never guess right.  Mommy is proud of the way Jenny and I bring so much happiness to others.

Mommy spoils us a little bit at her dinner time.  She knows that we shouldn’t eat table food but she gives us one tiny bite of meat at the beginning and one tiny bite at the end. She also spoils us at bed time.  Both of us sleep with her.  Mommy has lots of pillows at the head of her bed and that’s where I like to sleep—I snuggle down in the pillows next to mommy’s head.  Jenny and I both snore but mommy is used to it and it doesn’t wake her up. I love my mommy so much that even in our little apartment wherever my mommy goes I go too—I want to be where my mommy is.

Daddy, I want to thank you VERY MUCH for taking such good care of me until I got my new mommy.  I want to tell you how happy and loved I am.  Paws for Seniors really did a good job in matching us up, we fit just right.  Mommy tells everybody about Paws for Seniors I would tell them too if I could talk but I think just looking cute and being friendly is a good advertisement.  Mommy and Jenny and I bring lots of love and happiness to each other.

Your little boy,
